veldt

Outside, the lions run.
Feeding on remains.
We'll never leave, look at us now.
So in love with the way we are.

So my school is fighting back against this principal

August 14- Principal Rich Thomas, in a senior class meeting about new rules and policies, when explaining the new phone policy, said “I don’t care if your Aunt is laying on her deathbed, you aren’t getting your cell phone back if we take it.”

Made a male student change out of his tank top in front of the school in front of him and at least 50 students into a shirt that followed the new dress code.

August 15-on- Constantly scans hallways, walkie talkie in hand, searching for students to either A. Give tardies to or B. Send to the In-School-Suspension room (ISS).

August 19- Pulled approximately 50+ female students from classrooms to be sent home over wearing gym/running shorts, made the girls who weren’t old enough to drive, and who’s parents couldn’t bring them clothes sit in ISS the rest of the day, even though this was many of their first EVER offenses.

August 20- Sent Mariah Adams home for wearing the outfit included in the picture attached.

Side notes: Was fired from Scott County High School for discrimination of the LGBTQ community members of the school.

Is forcing all students to wear lanyards with IDs to get into school.

Gives ISS after 4 total tardies in one semester, giving us 0.007% success rate in not going to ISS. With a total of 150 tardies within the first three days of school because of new, non-relenting policy.

Has expanded ISS room from capacity of 15 to capacity of 40 students with knowledge of the fact that he would be sending multiple student there for menial reasons every day.

And he also was fired before from another local school. LGBTQ Nation sent him a letter and sued the school: http://www.lgbtqnation.com/assets/2013/02/021413_Scott-County-Prom-Letter.pdf

The local news network has gotten word if the large amounts of chaos in the school and the nauseating dictatorship he’s made of our school.

We’re located in Perryville, MO. Literally and hour and half away from Ferguson.

he keeps asking me all these questions about aspects of feminism and he’s like “so basically it’s about letting women do what they want without being judged for it” and I was like yea and he was like “oh okay that’s so simple why isn’t everyone a feminist” it’s precious

Nicki Minaj is not a woman who easily slides into the roles assigned to women in her industry or elsewhere. She’s not polished, she’s not concerned with her reputation, and she’s certainly not fighting for equality among mainstream second-wave feminists. She’s something else, and she’s something equally worth giving credence to: a boundary-breaker, a nasty bitch, a self-proclaimed queen, a self-determined and self-made artist. She’s one of the boys, and she does it with the intent to subvert what it means. She sings about sexy women, about fucking around with different men. She raps about racing ahead in the game, imagines up her own strings of accolades, and rolls with a rap family notorious for dirty rhymes, foul mouths, and disregard for authority and hegemony.

While Beyoncé has expanded feminist discourse by reveling in her role as a mother and wife while also fighting for women’s rights, Minaj has been showing her teeth in her climb to the top of a male-dominated genre. Both, in the process, have expanded our society’s idea of what an empowered women looks like — but Minaj’s feminist credentials still frequently come under fire. To me, it seems like a clear-cut case of respectability politics and mainstreaming of the feminist movement: while feminist writers raved over Beyoncé’s latest album and the undertones of sexuality and empowerment that came with it, many have questioned Minaj’s decisions over the years to subvert beauty norms using her own body, graphically talk dirty in her work, and occasionally declare herself dominant in discourse about other women. (All of these areas of concern, however, didn’t seem to come into play when Queen Bey did the same.)

CHARACTER BIAS MEME: L A R X E N E (1/?)
A lot of people seem to not like her but I actually really love Larxene. I feel like there’s a lot more to her than how she presents herself. Sure, she can be sadistic at times and loves nothing more than to bring people down, but I can’t help but feel sorry for her. She says that a heart is painful to have and that she’s better off without one - it makes me wonder, what happened to her in her Somebody life that caused her so much pain and agony? There are so many mysteries surrounding her that I can’t help but love her.
